Who Can Apply for a PhD Degree in Nursing?

Educational Qualifications: The nursing doctorate aspirant must have a postgraduate degree approved by the UGC and would require a minimum of 55% marks or the equivalent grade attained.

Professional Experience: Many institutions would favour candidates who have a clinical or non-clinical teaching experience of a minimum 6 months after completing their MSc Nursing.

Entrance Examination

Most colleges accept UGC NET/JRF and other all-India level entrance test scores, and some of the institutions conduct their own entrance examinations for applicants not having UGC NET and other entrance score, which help to assess the research interest and subject knowledge of the applicant. The topics that may fall under the exam’s syllabus include nursing, health care and research methods.

License
